Checking interest in an OB unguided wild pheasant hunt in South Dakota for opening weekend. 4 nights lodging and 3 days hunting. We would need a minimum of 8 and max of 10 to be able to book. We would have exclusive use of the property. Room and access for hunting is $920 pp.

I have a pair of experienced GSP that have hunted wild pheasants in Kansas, labs would also be very beneficial...

Waterfowl can also be hunted for free but we would need to sin up for the non resident lottery for waterfowl...

Video of this property being hunted in the link.

Gunner's Haven Hunting, Lodging & Land:

2800 acres of total land access for hunting
800 acres of CRP, 60 acres of food plots and 20 acres of tree belts added to the below acres offered.
200 acres of native prairie grassland
100 acres of creekbeds, sloughs and grass waterways
25 acres of shelterbelts
25 acres of food plots.
Abundant Walk-in and other public ground to extend your hunting trip extra days (only $50 night for extra nights lodging)
Excellent waterfowl hunting. No additional charge. Many sloughs to hunt.
75 miles west of Aberdeen SD - Walworth County
Highlights: Abundant acres of private access, high pheasant populations, no charge waterfowl options
Pheasant Camp lodging for groups of 4 to 10 located on-site and not far from town. Hunt right from your lodging as you are in the middle of section of pheasant land. Wake up to roosters crowing outside your door.
(2) Bathrooms/showers/Toilets in the lodge
Satellite TV and WIFI Internet access
Sink, Stove and Fridge and compliment
Dining table and chairs

I'm in. Like the waterfowl idea too. Is this three pheasants per day?

3 per day on the pheasants, 6 on the ducks. It is possible we would have some people pulled in the lottery and others not. Success rates are pretty good for the waterfowl lottery...

Is this one of those lottery deals where we need to register sooner than later?

I am very interested. May have my old man would be interested also. His walking abilities are limited though so not sure how tough the hunting is.

I would not be a very good companion on this trip, but thanks for the invite. I wouldn't want to get anyone in trouble.

Damn...if I didn't have a trip already lined up a few weeks later in ID I'd be all over that. I still may be interested. Let me check my wife's temperature on the matter.

This will be the most fun you ever have bird hunting.

Briars and snakes do not exist up there.

You'll need blockers too. So if he can't walk that good he won't be left out.

He walks alright... just slow. Has parkinsons so he takes his time.

I have a couple labs I could bring and we could do our own thing if necessary. Definitely in for ducks too
