I have a pergola over my back patio and want a vine grow and cover it. Any know where I can purchase this around Central Louisiana or Forest Hill Nursery? Thanks

Both are good recomendations. Also carolina jasmine, clematis or a bougainvillea wouldnt be bad. My favorite is the mandevilla, Alice Dupont is my faovorite variety.

Stop by PlantCo on 112. One of the first on the right going from interstate to forest hill. If we dont have what you want he can tell you where to get it.

Be careful with wisteria. The fast growing Chinese varieties must be regularly trained and pruned to control growth. A mix of confederate jasmine and Carolina Jessamine will give you good foliage as well as a wonderful fragrance for months. The Carolina Jessamine will bloom in early spring. Then the Confederate will bloom in late spring to early summer.

confederate jasmine
I put two of these at my house to give privacy on a patio and they made a thick wall quick. Just have to trim pretty regular.

I've had good luck with confederate jasmine and honeysuckle mixed on a trellis that I use to hid an electrical box and meter
I dug up some Japanese honeysuckle and coral honeysuckle for a mix of color. turns out the coral blooms earlier, but when its done the jasmine and other honeysuckle is starting
Muscadine would be a good idea, you can have a snack while you sit in the shade

Cascade hops, then once they harvest you can give them to me. I will brew you beer with them.

Or bait coons and possums, make jelly or wine. It's one of the superior multi-functional yard decorations available.

both of which taste better than coon or possum

Why would I want to do that?

Agreed. That stuff will grow a 30' runner under your grass and pop up anywhere. It's like kudzu.
