Seersucker to a wedding after 6:00pm?

Is it ok to wear a seersucker suit to a wedding after 6:00pm .. or does one have to wear a dark suit?

Depends where you are. New Orleans, yes. Some place like Chicago, no. You should get a white linen suit. The best for summer weddings.

I was at a wedding two weeks ago and there was a guy with a seersucker on. looked great. wedding info: 530 pm, on the beach, and the suit was on a three years old

When is this wedding? The date influences it more than the time IMO.
A friend is getting married May 24th in NOLA. I;ll be wearing seersucker for that.

General rule is that if the event starts before the sun sets you're good to go on seersucker
