Strong. Difference in power from a 6.0 to a 7.0 is about 32x in released energy. That would make the recent Japan earthquake(9.0) about 32,000+ times more powerful than a 6.0.

I like to wake up to bj's, but I'm married so there's a much better chance I'll wake up to a tsunami.

Well, not exactly "wake up". I don't know a good term that covers the transition from deep comfortable sleep to stark terror combined with drowning and house collapse.
