I've always been self conscious of my breath as long as I can remember, but I think it was mostly in my head. However, for the past several months or so, I am certain that my breath smells like absolute shite. It's extremely embarrassing and because of it I can't recall the last time I looked directly at someone when talking to them. I was wondering if anyone here has struggled with the same thing and what remedies there are to help/fix it?

I sometimes get tonsil stones (the little white/yellow balls that get lodged in your tonsils) but even when I get them all out it seems like my breath is still rancid. It's definitely not a mental thing..sometimes I can actually smell the nasty sulfur-y shite smell way back where the throat meets the nasal cavity.

Anyways...sorry for the disgusting topic but I'm pretty desperate for a remedy. TIA

Yes, every time. From front to as far back as I can get without gagging.

Well, some dude posted last night saying he hadn't brushed his teeth in three days, so maybe him.

Dental hygiene is definitely not my issue. I brush very well, dentist always says things look great...never had a cavity.

Do you floss twice a day for 3-5 min each time? All the brushing in the world won't give you fresh breath if you're not flossing on the reg.

I know a really attractive girl with horrible halitosis. I've discussed it with her before and it can not be cured. Sucks for her.

I will admit that I never floss, which would probably help. But I still think it's mainly emanating from the throat. I am pretty sure I have post-nasal drip which is likely the root of my problem.

I'd go to an ENT and see about having your tonsils removed.

Eating much healthier can actually do some good for this. Brush after lunch as well. If you are really desperate you could think about getting your tonsils removed.
