his house had been burglarized. Middleton says his guns, iPad and his wife’s jewelry had been taken. Middleton called 911
First mistake....

“She’s barking when he pulls into the driveway letting me know someone’s at our house, an intruder is here, or a person who she would think was an intruder that she’s unfamiliar with. She’s barking. The officer gets out of his car, and all the while we’re headed up [there]. He gets out of his car and shoots my dog in my front yard,” Middleton recalled.
Middleton says the dog was shot in the head. He begged the deputy to finish off his cowdog named Candy since the dog was suffering.
“I was so upset. I went over there to her and she was still alive and I begged and pleaded with him to please shoot her again because I don’t have any firearms. They got stolen. He went and got in his vehicle and backed out of my driveway,” Middleton explained.

Is this part of Cop training now or something? See dog, do not assess situation, simply pull out side arm and shoot dog.

That is absolutely despicable.

I wonder at what point owning a dog became a violation of the law punishable by the death of said dog.

Do cops no longer carry pepper spray? What is the point of shooting a barking dog when you have less than lethal options?

Because they are fricking cowards and it makes them feel big and bad...
I'm finding it more and more difficult to have any respect for police officers... The bad ones and the more and more that we hear about ruin it for the few who are actually good people.

I would say to kill it but this guy didn't have the decency to even do that.

I don't know but evidently per 2005 court ruling, they no longer have the obligation to serve and protect.

They just unload their handgun into the side of a cow...it wont kill the massive animal, just cause it massive pain and an extremely slow death.
It's beyond f'd up.
It's beyond f'd up.

How can you leave someone's pet suffering like that knowing that you did it? Some people have fricked up heads

At first I thought he shot him bc he thought the cow was charging him (still not appropriate) but then the cow was running away and they pulled the cow over to shoot him again. I'd really like to know the reasoning for this.
