Finished cutting up lumber and everything is ready.

I did leave a set of the plywood uncut. I will be using that to show everyone how and as to why the way I lay things out Saturday morning after everyone is here and we go over a few safely tips and rules.

ATTENTION ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take it from me and another poster who shall remain nameless(unless he wishes to speak up).

When you're selecting and lining up your sides in order to attach them together (front side and rear side), do not, I REPEAT DO NOT, select them based upon them being the same grain of wood!

You'll end up with one side that's 10ft long and the other side 17ft long!

It's not easy trying to pull out ring shank nails without messing up the plywood!

Don't ask! Just TRUST ME ON THIS!

Oh and be careful on how you lay out and cut the bottoms, you want the A side towards the water.

OK builders, one day to go for some and two for others.

Safety is the up most importance thru the build. If you have ear and eye protection, please bring it. If anybody can get some of those disposable ear plugs, that would be great.

What to ware? Old pants and shirt. Good chances you will get glue on you. Mornings are going to be a bit nippy, but warms up fast. Low , lower 50's and warm up to the lower 80's. We will be working direct in the sun the better part of the day.

Lunch. I will pick up a bunch of cold cuts. I was going to cook, but I'm still resting up for the build. We are limited to time, so lunch will be on the run. I will also have a icechest of bottle water and cold drinks. If you want a cold beer or two, bring it. Please limit beer drinking till the end of the day. Like I said, safety first.

Every one make sure you have a way to transport your finished pirogue along with some rope/straps to tie it down.

If anyone has any questions, please call me.

Oh, a couple rags to help clean up glue will be needed. That will save you time when finishing/sanding.

Hey Fish

Are some people starting their build on Friday? We may be interested in that so we can get back on the road earlier.

Thanks

I guess. If y'all want to come in early tomorrow, do so. I'm up most mornings way before sun up.
