Exxon is the only consistent gas station I know where to get them.

There is a Texaco at the Donaldsonville Exit on I-10 that has really good ones. Other than that they are hard to find. Which blows my mind about Louisiana.

Take some time and just go to Natchez. It's worth it.

Yea I ususally go to the gas station next to Lauberge on nicholson/gardere. They are fairly decent, but a little overpriced. I've also tried Tony's a few times, but they are way too salty.

They are all over the place. But I always go to this little country store (can't remember the name) across from the Exxon station at the corner of 84 and Homochitto St.

They aren't in season now so what you are probabyl getting is just the frozen ones that have been heated up. These are still pretty good as long as they haven't been sitting in a warming pot for a few days at a time.

I don't know the name of the place but we use to always get them from a little stand in Port Vincent just up the road from Freds bar on the Amite river.

They were always pretty good.

I also had some good ones from Renos's seafood market in Sorrento.

Would peanuts be a good food to use to "use up" the leftover crawfish boil? I hadn't thought about it until now. Sounds good.

I don't see why not. Whenever I "make" them at home I always pour crab boil in the cockpot.

Lots of folks use crawfish boil seasoning when the boil their peanuts. I like it that way, but prefer just the salted.

Not sure about using the leftover crawfish boil though.

There is a colored man on the side of highway 61 and Port Hudson Road that sells very good homemade boiled peanuts. He's pretty much always around except when he's not.

The Great State of Mississippi knows boiled peanuts. Louisiana and it's residents do not know boiled peanuts. Not a knock, just the solemn truth.

Yeah I usually have to wait until I get into Mississippi to get my fix when heading back to the Heart of Dixie Alabama the Beautiful.
