In all fairness a lot of NFL GM's make similar mistakes every year. The draft is not an exact science.

Read this earlier today. Some were really bad, but its hard to argue some with all that we knew at the time.

Jamarcus was probably the biggest bust in draft history, but pretty much everyone thought he had the talent to be a star. Even Belichik said it was the best workout he had ever seen.

I don't know why Mel was so wrong for bashing the Colts for taking trev alberts over a QB. Dilfer did win a ring.

This is probably the worst rating of Mel's career. Jimmy was clearly not ready for the NFL, both physically and mentally.

Russell being number one is a bit ridiculous. I agree the guy was a bust, but Kiper was an idiot to think that the Raiders was an organization like the Broncos when they took Elway (traded for him much later).

The Raiders' leadership was horrible and that marriage was a disaster that was unstoppable.

Unless you saw him play in College where he looked like a less mobile, more cocky, Aaron Brooks.

Mel Kiper and Jimmy Clausen had the same agent. This is a fact.

He should thank Ray Lewis every day for it.

Also, I'm sure Mel Kiper could predict that Trev Alberts would have an injury that would destroy his career either in his rookie or second year.

Did you watch any LSU games in 05-06?

They forgot to talk about how every "draft expert" fussed at every NFL general manager because they kept Brady Quinn in the Green Room for so long.

Every single one. I couldn't believe teams were even considering drafting him. I don't care if you believe me or not but I honestly didn't think he would get drafted.

I guess you missed his entire junior season.

Well injury aside, it is still a legitimate question.
