What does this weirdo have anything to do with Horse Racing?
I bet they brought him aboard just so they can show him all dressed up wearing ridiculous looking hats and feminine clothing.
Unfortunately for NBC this is not appealing to the target audience of the Kentucky Derby(white men)
Figure Skating, yeah that stuff might be appealing to the target audience which is women and girly men. But horse racing and figure skating are two different demographic bases.

But women do tune into the Kentucky Derby for the fashion of the big hats and the southern gentlemen in suits. I don't believe he'll be doing racing analysis but more red carpet type stuff

He is basically replacing Beadle from last year. It's pretty odd considering the usual racing audience because they are basically giving up the horseplayers to TVG in order to draw new viewers.
