Just caught a knob creek spot. It was tastefully done. Can't remember why this was regulated at one time.

In Alabama, you still can't buy liquor, but only in state controlled stores and some liquor only stores. Nothing harder than wine and wine coolers in the grocery stores.

They had to get rid of the cigs and liquor ads to make room for the lawyers and penis pill ads.

many places are similar in the fact you cant buy liquor on sundays, but beer is ok.

I always found this so dumb. you can buy a keg of beer, but not a half pint of vodka.

I don't know if it's changed but in NJ you couldn't buy beer or wine in grocery stores. Only in liquor stores. The same for Utah except that you can buy beer with a lower alcohol content (3%?) outside of liquor stores.

Pennsylvania is tough to handle. Liquor is in liquor stores. Beer isn't available at the grocery or convenience store. You have to buy six packs in restaurants, and larger quantities at the beer distributor.

If it's legal to sell. It should be able to be advertised, tastefully of course and within reason. The only thing I'm for banning is fricking pharmaceuticals and criminal injury or class action lawsuit shite. Screw them. Society's had enough of their garbage.

back in the 50s and 60s, seemingly all of the liquor adds utilized cartoons. It was seen as marketing a sinful product to children. Rather than just tell them that they couldn't use cartoons anymore in beer commercials, they just went ahead and banned them completely.

The only regulation that I can think of regarding
liquor ads that is still true today is that the
actor/actress in the ad can only bring the glass
of booze up to their mouth - but not allowed to drink
it in the commercial. Notice the next time you see
an ad, they never let it even hit their lips.
