Tony Fiorentino (Sun Sports -- Heat's network I believe) was the only voter with AD 1st.

Damn Noah was a runaway winner, as he should be.

He didn't "suck" but was definitely part of the hype machine a la Marc Gasol last season.

No it doesn't. Dude had nearly 5 stocks. On a shite arse team. Should have been too 5. Whatever, he will win at least 3 or 4 in his career.

So Davis had better blocks, steals and defensive rebounding than Noah but gets 1 first place vote and comes in 8th place?

Not that Noah isn't a good player, but come on. Davis isn't even top five? Lot of big market guys on that list ahead of Davis...

AD probably deserved to be top 5. Noah is the clear winner though. Pels don't get enough exposure on tv, if we had more nationally televised games their is no doubt in my mind he would be top 5. I ain't worried though he will be at the top of that list in the near future. Association will learn

What did Iguodala do to warrant any consideration?

Its more than just about stats.

Noah finished 1st in Defensive Ratings and in Defensive Win shares. And was the best defender on 1 of the best defensive teams in the NBA. Even with all his blocks and steals, AD wasnt top 20 in either of those. Not to say hes not a great defender or anything like that because he is. And he will get his.

Now a days, the DPOY usually goes to the top defender on a top defensive team in the NBA.

That's because you don't know shite about basketball.

Those are sexy stats and don't really mean all that much.

The stats certainly have to translate into winning at a high level. It's how the guys get votes these days. In AD's defense, he certainly hasn't had much around him.
