OKC
Spurs
Heat

Not surprisingly, those are most people's picks to win it all.

Thoughts?

The west is so loaded that every home team could have lost and it wouldn't have been a shocker. Hell, OKC and SA could have easily lost yesterday and today.

As for the east, I think majority of people saw Indy struggling, but not losing game 1. I don't think many people saw chicago losing to washington even though they're playing great ball. Toronto/Brooklyn is really a wash, experience and age vs. inexperienced. Miami losing would've been a shitstorm lol

Chicago is going to lose to Washington.

Aside from that, the other series where the home teams lost are tossups, including Indy.

Brooklyn winning Game 1 means that'll be a short series. Great for the Nets to get some rest before they try to beat the Heat.

Probably the most playoff tested home teams of the bunch as well.

Agreed, Chicago can't be feeling great right now.

Wait, what? Heat vs Bobcats is a toss up?

Indiana
Miami
Brooklyn
Washington

San Antonio
Oklahoma City
Golden State
Portland

Those teams are probably going to win their series at this point. And the one I'm least confident about is Indiana.

Chicago is an offensive shite show as always.

OKC will sweep Memphis.

Dallas blew their chance today. They might win a game in this series.

LeBron is freaking gross.

After seeing Dallas today and the troubles they gave San Antonio offensively, I could easily see that series being 2-2 heading back to San Antonio.

OKC isn't sweeping Memphis even if it's just because they lose a little interest if they go up 2-0. I do think they'll beat them in 5 because they are substantially better.

Heat/Nets will be cray. Fish filet.

Barkley says some things every year that are just fricking retarded. He hated the Celtics in the Big Three days and it's carrying over to the present.

He just said Toronto has a better chance to beat Miami than Brooklyn does. The same Toronto that has lost like 28 straight times to Miami.

He also says Toronto will beat Brooklyn, which has like no chance of happening.

Similar to 4 years ago when he said Antawn Jamison was a better player than Kevin Garnett and would dominate him in their head-to-head matchup back when the Cavs/Celtics played in the playoffs.

Without David Stern (aka Dr. Evil) at the helm manipulating the outcomes of games for better ratings who know what the hell may happen. May see a few upsets in the first round.

Since this likely has no chance of happening, would you give me like 4/1 odds on the Raptors? I'll gladly bet $20 to your $80 that it does.

Yeah, you know the Pacers really wish Stern were still commissioner.

I don't gamble on message boards.

Nets probably close it out in 6.

LOL,

Neither do I, was just messing with you. I think both Toronto and Brooklyn have a shot against the Heat. This is the worst put together Miami team since the first year they were together, IMO.

That's what I said in the thread on the rant OT. Dallas is going to make this a series with SA. I was loving the clippers coming into the playoffs. I don't know how I feel about that after game 1

Oh I wouldn't be surprised if Miami played two 7-game series before they even got to the NBA Finals. But I can't get myself too involved.

Last year's Finals took so much out of me. Cheering that hard against the Heat, becoming so invested in the Spurs, just to watch it end like that.

To be honest, I lost a lot of interest in the NBA, and I think that was the cause. I hardly watched any regular season ball compared to my normal amount. Really got into college.

I think the Heat/Nets is a 7-game series. It's stupid how deep Brooklyn is. They're the best team in the East by a decent amount if Lopez was healthy. Not record-wise, of course. But in terms of playoffs basketball.
