No

Shields is as dependable as there is. Kazmir is an injury risk and EYJR only fills one category.

I start Casey McGehee in SBL and have a better record than you and a higher roto score.

Decline that trade. I have Kazmir and Shields in one league and Shields is much better than Kaz, plus EYJ really isnt great. He will get you a few stolen bases and a few RBIs but he will hit under .300 and kill daily averages at times. No thanks.

Kazmir has a 2.88 ERA, 1.12 WHIP with a 9.5 K/9 post All-Star break last season. FB averaged 93 mph last season and only 29 y/o. OAK is obviously favorable for pitchers. Billy B gave him $22m over 2 years makes me wonder if he knows something. Health is the main issue with him, obviously.

As for EYjr, he's basically doing what people expected out of Billy shithead Hamilton. People were ruining underwear over Hamilton, way over drafting him and even keeping him in some instances. Meanwhile EYjr is 3rd in the league in runs and 1st in SB (and the guy has actually stole 40+ bags in an MLB season).

I mean, you have Verlander, Tanaka, Cueto, Pineda, Sale, and Cobb when he comes off the DL. Losing Shields isn't a huge deal, especially when you're replacing him with Kazmir. EYjr could be a money man in roto format as far as runs and SBs go. He's hitting atop that order and guys like Granderson and Wright haven't even starting seining it yet. When it warms up in NY EYjr can maybe cash in scoring runs more so than he already is. Thing is, you already have Hamilton so you would be fricked on power. But you could pencil yourself in to win SBs and probably runs, seeing as you have guys like Dozier and Melky too.

Id be inclined to take the deal, then find someone who loves Verlander and flip him for a big bat.

Or don't take the deal and flip him for a big bat anyway.

Or just flip a pitcher for a bat.

You got some decent pop but you can't count on melky, Dozier, and brantly to keep up their HR pace

Or can you?

frick idk
