Know anybody that has divorced and remarried over and over and over? Crazy aunt?

Also do you know any couples that choose to not marry? Any good reasoning ?

At this point I am choosing not to marry. Both of us make money and do not see a real reason to bring the law into it. We can exchange rings and vows if we want. I think it says more if you stay when you can just take the ring off and walk away as opposed to having the law putting pressure on you.

It would be a wonderful thing if the government got out of the marraige business all together.

My mom and dad have 7 marriages between them

My dad is on his fourth wife and they've been married 20 years

My mom is on husband number three and they've been married 15 years

So maybe they got it right this time

Once. You get two, then you loose your license.

I've been married once, and I really don't see the point unless you're insecure and want to tie down your lover cause you're scared they will leave.

Just how socially accepted is divorce these days? Is it OK as long as the kids are grown/older?

I understand that some people need a do over, but I really think after that you need to take a long hard look at yourself.

Well yeah, that's all well and good...

Unless you live in a common law state.

I wouldn't judge anyone on # of times.
People change, or it wasn't right to begin with.

3 strikes and YOU'RRRRRE OUT! should apply to many things in life.

The most I've seen was 7. That woman would get married, sleep w one of the husbands friends, divorce, and marry the friend. Total white trash.

The question of "too many" only comes into play if I'm considering banging her since I might be next if she gets pregnant.

If not, I don't care.

Disagree. That means the only reason you're staying is because it's convenient for you.

A commitment means more if you make sure you have some skin in the game.
