ARLINGTON, Texas – In a similar fashion to the series opener, the top-ranked Louisiana baseball team scored seven runs in the final three innings to win 9-5 against UT Arlington to claim its 11th straight weekend series on Saturday at Clay Gould Ballpark.
The Cajuns (36-4, 16-1 Sun Belt) remain undefeated on the road with a 16-0 record and are now on a six-game win streak. The streak is the fourth of the season for Louisiana of six or more wins.
"We are getting a lot of different kinds of wins this year," head coach Tony Robichaux said. "Ryan Wilson was great for us and we were able to score a lot of runs in the last three innings to take this one. We just continue to keep grinding and finding ways to pull out wins."
The Cajuns go for the sweep tomorrow at 1 p.m. at Clay Gould Ballpark against the Mavs. Louisiana has swept four of five conference series so far this season, and six overall.
Cody Boutte will make the start for Louisiana in the series finale. Boutte is 5-0 on the year with a 3.43 ERA.
Following the final game against UT Arlington, the Ragin' Cajuns return home for four games at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field starting on Tuesday at 6 p.m. as they host in-state foe McNeese State.

UT-Arlington on the road. Brutal series that will prepare them well for postseason play.

What's funny is that ULL is plummeting in the RPI, they may not be a national seed.

Really?
I'd laugh my arse of if they had to come to BR for a regional.

All of this is irrelevant; they won't make it to Omaha.

Agree with this. They don't have the pitching for a post season run.
