I have a serious question about a soccer combine

First of all, this is my first trip to this board. I am no soccer player and have no clue about soccer so this is a serious question. I have a friend who claims to be this great soccer player, and we can not dispute him because w ehabe no clue what is going on "no offense, we just dont follow it" So anyway he went to this proffesional soccer combine and tried out. Came back and said he didnt allow a goal the whole time he was there, he is a goalie. Well then he doesnt talk about it again. We go online and find his combine results, which i have pasted below. I dont know what any of it means so could some of you guys help me out. To me it doesnt look like he is this great player he makes himself out to be. But i dont know what im looking at here. Be blunt and explain in lamens terms. Thanks

I mean it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that someone who scores almost all 1's on a 1-5 scale (with 5 being the highest) isn't very good.
Funny that one of his few 2's is in an area that is totally irrelevant for his position.
Your friend sucks.

well i was holding back from judging opinion because im no soccer expert. But according to him he did great, and didnt allow a goal. So i wasnt sure if the grades were weighted a different way

Just from looking at the results. He's scared to come off the line, he doesn't get himself in good shot blocking positions, he doesn't catch or punch the ball well, he doesn't pass well with his feet.
In short, your friend is not a good keeper.

It's like they gave him the 2 because they felt sorry for him

He's a good athlete, but a shitty soccer player.
He probably has no understanding of what's happening, but has really good reactions to what comes at him.

In my opinion, he needs to see improvement in most areas. He's an OK shot stopper who needs better technical abilities to take his game to the next level.

Was MLSter the one doing the shooting on goal?

We've never seen him play but the people who have are certainly saying that.

a 1 on a scale of 1-5 is not good.
"poor, needs work" is not good.
"needs to be better" is not good.
"holds line to much" is not good.
"poor kicking" is not good.
"needs to see improvements in most areas" is not good.
"OK shot stopper" is not good.
"needs better technical abilities to take his game to the next level" is not good.

I wonder how they assessed the physical attributes at the bottom.

Considering his attitude and the combine scores of some players I've seen play/played against, he's probably not great. Others have outlined why
Keep in mind that it is a professional combine, and he was being rated by professional coaches (one of whom is now coach of Real Salt Lake) on his ability to play professionally, not necessarily for his ability to play at your local soccer complex. That being said, his claim is complete bullshite and wouldn't even make sense in an environment where you're supposed to face enough shots for coaches to be able to evaluate you thoroughly, unless he's referring to a full sided game which would really be kind of irrelevant. His profile would have made him the worst goalkeeper in last years combine, by a good bit.
For example, here is the profile of an actual professional goalkeeper:

ETA: Though others have explained what it means, "x" shot stopper is not a great thing to have said about you.

I'm no expert, but judging from all the 1s, I'm guessing hhe's not good enough to be a pro

Totally was thinking about a soccer combine. I'd totally watch one on TV to see who is trying out for team USA.

He might be a good GK...in an adult league but not even close to being a pro. Not even a bad day for a good keep would have those numbers.
