Louisville today announced it is sticking with Adidas (after rumors of switching to Nike) in a deal worth $40 million over 5 years ranking it in the top 5 in apparel deals for all college programs.

Today a lot of High school athletes are choosing schools based on the brand. Is Nike still head and shoulders above Adidas? How much ground has Adidas gained?

I would rather be a UA school than Adidas. What is Adidas really good at? Soccer shoes and maybe some tennis shoes? They haven't been too bad with Michigan, but most of the gear for other schools seems broke.

Adidas is probably losing ground. I think they just lost two really big clients. Tennessee and someone else (school escapes me).

I'm a huge UA fan. That would have been my choice to switch over to.

I must admit Adidas has been stepping it's game up, but Nike is still by far the sexiest brand.

1. Nike
2a. Under Armour
2b. Adidas.

If basketball, switch 2a and 2b.

Yes. Tennessee took less from Nike than adidas was offering. Tells you all you need to know.

Depends if you want someone in Mississippi making your uniforms or if you want someone in Wisconsin.

I like Nike for their different amount of styles but their coloring combos are not good. Addidas has more comfortable stuff generally.

The best are Powers out of Iowa though.

It's amazing how much high school athletes have turned into drama queens and attention whores.
