Going to need services soon. Will the SEC network be taking over LSU coverage when it comes to Basketball and baseball?

DirecTV doesn't have CST, so I don't catch any of the CST baseball games.

Also, DirecTV still hasn't picked up the SEC Network.

That being said, DirecTV is a much, much better television provider.

Cox won't be doing LSU Sports from what I understand because of the SEC Network

Cox Sports lost the Pelican's and will be losing LSU.

All this.

I'm in a similar boat re: CST games, as I have Uverse. Totally worth it

DirecTV will eventually come to an agreement with SECN.

When they realize that not adding it will cost them more subscribers than not adding the B1G Network would have, they surely will.

And yes, the B1G footprint has a higher population but not nearly as much undying fan(atical) loyalty to the conference.

When it comes to LSU, Direct is the absolute worst.

U Verse, Dish both are better options an both have announced they will carry the SEC Net...Direct has emailed me saying they will not

I have DirecTV and have watched most baseball games online. Even stream feed to big TV.

Is Dish really that better than DTV?

Leave SECN out of the equation...I heard Dish kinda sucked with the channel lineups?

You get the ESPN app through your cable provider, i.e. ESPN3. I switched from Dish to DTV last year. DTV has all of the ESPNs in HD, including ESPNU. That is why I switched. I wanted to watch the LSU games in HD that would be on ESPNU during the football season.

If you are thinking about going the DTV route send me a message at superj3ff@hotmail and I will get you a code to get an additional $10 off per month than whatever promotion they are currently pushing.

After having both satellite providers, I feel DTV is superior.

IMO yes, hands down. Dish's Hopper w/Sling technology exceeds the abilities of any DVR I've seen, bar none and yes, I've had both as well as Comcast. Add in the SEC Network and the ability to watch ANY content, home or mobile, it's a no-brainer.

I am pretty certain you cannot use the WatchESPN app on Roku, AppleTV iPad, etc with a Direct TV account and access the premium ESPN channels like ESPNU, Classic

If I am wrong, I would love for you to let me know how.

I don't know about DirecTV but you can access WatchESPN via your Dish account on all major streaming apps. I'm hoping they add an app (or, on-demand) to the Hopper itself so no additional hardware will be required - at this point, strongly rumored but has not popped up. The press release by Dish/Disney/ESPN strongly indicates it is coming though.
