Tried to ask this last night in the golf thread but due to all the drunken bayou backwoods ebonics that was spewing out it got over looked.

Anyway what can yall tell me about the titleist 913 d3 drivers? Got one in my truck taking to the range today to try out. If I like it guy will sell me the head and install my diamana kai'li shaft from my rocketballz driver. I hit it on the launch monitor but told him I want hit it outside in the real world.

And I guess the hybrids as well.

Never hit one so really can't help. I've always been Callaway driver guy though.

It's a driver. You can hit it farther than a wedge.

It's good for shot shaping

But there are way better drivers out there...

And this is coming from someone who plays all Titleist

The 913 is one of the best drivers out there, but if you have a chance to go out and hit it then don't worry about other people's opinions on it. If you hit it true then that is all that really matters.

Interesting comment. I think it's one of the best. Which drivers do you rank ahead of it.

To the OP, I just gave up my 910 D3 for the Callaway Big Bertha Alpha. The only reason was because I got about 15 more yards out of the Alpha, and I think it was partly the new design, but mostly the shaft in the Alpha fits me better than the shaft I had in the 910. The Titleist drivers are solid.

Having said that, I think it's much more important for you to have the correct shaft in a driver than a particular head. Find a head made in the last couple of years by one of the reputable companies that suits your eye at address and gives you confidence, and make sure the shaft is correct for you, and I'd bet you won't find a huge difference in performance.

I've had mine for about a year and love it. Not the most forgoing driver but I like the feel and look of it more than most drivers.

I shouldn't have said WAY better...their are hotter drivers out there but I would put it in my top 5.

That being said, this matters WAY more...
