Yeah as far as CVX is concerned. Their tier 2 and 3 on the shelf are for sale, not their tier one.

Were you asking about living in Houma or Thibodaux? I thought SLB had pulled most of their completion tools stuff out of the Houma area. Only kept a few guys around to run shunt tubes on screens.

No they have all there DW completion tools there as well as some subsea services. I wish they would have moved it out, would much rather be in NewoO or Houston.

Houma sucks as a young professional moving there, I always described it as everything you need but nothing you want for a place to live.

I don't plan on staying there long or spending to much time down there while I am there unless its for work or fishing.

I was there for 3+ years and was in the car commuting about 20hrs+ a week that last year.

The Houma-New Orleans traffic sucks.

You worked in the field or in the office?

Civil eng did both as needed. Spent months on deck barges watching guys dredge or place rocks and also lots of design work in the office.

Bayou blue facility? Didn't even realize they had that in there. I don't have to be at the office much, a couple days pre and post job.

I wasn't in the oilfield, I turned down a offer 8 months after I started a consulting engineering job in Houma. Coincidentally both positions were in Houma.

My thoughts at that we are still years away from that whole thing being settled. Have a good connection with a law office in charge of handling BP claims. My heir opinion is it will be a while at least.

It's not over any time soon, but the new claims are close to bein over, so there is now an understanding of the maximum possible liability.
