Trying to decide on which way to go. Offshore money working 14/14 (Clerk) or Chemical (Operator)less money working EOEO.
Leaning toward offshore.

I don't see how anyone else can answer this for you. Do you have a wife? Kids? Are you ok with being away from family for weeks at a time?

If you're young and looking to build a bank roll, go for the money I guess. I would think that both careers pay well, so a little extra money wouldn't persuade me to be away from my wife for that long. Good luck.

No wife at this time and I'm not a young man. Looking to do about 10-12 more years of work before retirement. I've done EOEO for a long time in the chem plants. Offshore is paying about 1800 more a month. Haven't been offshore before so I'm trying to gathering knowledge to make a decision.

Well, I guess if you're looking for info about life offshore then this wouldn't be a bad place. There are several guys that post here that could probably provide you with good info.
