I don't get it

How are you inferring PEDS from a 5 homer season?

I don't think it looks like that much of an anomaly compared to his previous seasons. He just sucked from 2010 on.

He posted some solid digits, comparable to his highs of any category of any other season. It seems like he must have had a high BABIP or something. Otherwise, I am not seeing anything that outlandish.

No. I just offered peds as a possible answer.

And a WAR of 7.7 is much better than his other good seasons.

He was a speed guy in his prime nothing more and nothing less. His elite speed allowed for him to post a crazy high BABIP and when his speed started to decline his game fell off a cliff.

I'm not really sure why you are speculating about PED usage, it's not like there was a dramatic increase in his stats from the previous 2-3 seasons

07: Age 29, .330 AVG, 41 SB, .391 BABIP

08: Age 30, .276 AVG, 34 SB, .333 BABIP

09: Age 31, .298 AVG, 42 SB, .356 BABIP

Seems pretty normal to me

It was an open question. I was just throwing out options. Heard his name mentioned tonight and wondered if he got picked up this season.

What would prompt someone to start randomly wondering about Chone Figgins' 2009 season in 2014?
