My wife gave a non-driving friend of ours a lift to Robert's on Carrollton this afternoon. She came home with some McKenzie inspired turtles. Damn good. Feel like I'm kicking back old school.

Speaking of turtles, I was walking in the neighborhood this morning and a big turtle was crossing the road. A melon head kid in a jacked up F250 swerved across the lane and crushed him with his gumbo mudders. I kept walking until I reached his house and as his dad was backing out the driveway I informed him of what his douchebag son had done and that he would see the flattened turtle on his way up the street.

He called a couple hours ago, thanked me and told me his kid would not be doing that again. Maybe maybe not but I image the kid got his arse ripped this afternoon.

That's my turtle story for the day even though it's not chocolate or doused with sherry.

Good story. Do you think the dad was more pissed that he killed an innocent turtle or that get made nasty road kill for no reason?

I think he was more pissed that he did it in front of a neighbor. Oh well. I had a turtle story and it wasn't worthy of an OT thread so I just rented a bit of space in this thread.

They sell the original recipe McKenzie's turtles at the Tastee location on Harrison Ave in New Orleans. Even sport the McKenzie's sign on the front of the store.

Lawyer buddy of mine doesn't drive that lives in New Orleans. No big deal. It's doable

Better for the turtles too.
