I think it makes poor sense. Guy scores poorly on every test on every test so you give him the job?? Over a guy that did well on the tests?
Why even
Its a sports only metaphor and if Mett gets proper coaching, he could be a top pick.
Anyone remember what he was like the year before last? He proved that he can be taught last year and also by a NFL caliber coach

The point of the story is that the guy who scores poorly will surpass the other one with a little coaching. If he's achieving essentially the same goals as the other guy, then it wouldn't take a whole lot for him to get better.
Someone said earlier that Zach has one of the best arms in the draft. I say he's easily got THE best arm in the draft, and would already have one of the best in the league right now. His arm is frickin' ELITE.

I said it and I was being modest. I think he has the best arm

Some of you are worse than the guys on ESPN.

No he said he has the tools to be the best ever.

Mett was creeping into first round discussion before his injury. He was gonna be hovering around 3500 yards and 25 tds

Bridgewater will be a major bust, I feel sorry for the team who picks him

Nostradamus? Could you give me the Powerball numbers for tomorrow? Since I am sure you don't need the money since you have probably won multiple times with that talent you have to so confidently predict the future.

Please post some data that supports this argument. Because I believe this is a myth cooked up by ranters who want an LSU QB who is relevant in the pros.

what you guys fail to realize is that Mett has one thing none of these otheres QBS, (past few years or this years crop) had. Cam Cameron. A proven NFL Offensive Coordinator . Look what a differnce Cam made in just 1 year with Mett. These NFL teasm seen that, and the production and the physical tools the guys has. Put him in Houston, or Minnesot where he has a good QB minded coach and some weapons and Mett wil be good NFL QB

That doesn't make any sense. If the one guy has already almost reached perfection in everything outside of running to 1st, why would you take a project who can ultimately only reach the same level as the other player. That's a feel good story for the average man that doesn't have work ethic.

I don't understand the thought process. People on here are saying that Mett will be good once he gets to a team that can coach him up. You think Manziel and Bridgewater are going to show up to an nfl team that has no qb coach that is worth a shite? Also it was said that Mett did great with one year of coaching by an nfl coordinator, a luxury that the others qbs didn't have. If Mett has had the nfl coaching already then why would he be considered the raw talent compared to manziel or bridgewater? If anything Mett has reached his potential and we have only scratched the surface of the other two guys. Carry on

It's the mindset that Coach Cam can make anyone successful under his philosophy. I think some of the LSU fanbase over value Cameron's tutelage of QB's [remember he was let go for a reason]. If Mett had been under Cameron's wing for three years than I could buy the theory that "He has leg up on the other QB's". But, he hasn't and you can only praise his one year of improvement so much.

I feel the same about Bortles. Don't get the hype.
Mett simply HAS to improve his pocket mobility or he won't last long.

Brittle? Did you see him vs. Florida? The kid took a beating and play fantastically.
The only thing he did wrong was his pro-day; anyone saying he is a bust may be right, but there are few facts to lead to this conclusion.
On the other hand, Mett has ONE year of quality play. I think he has huge upside, however.

Good Lord, I see the media has brainwashed a few of you. Bortles shows neither the arm strength or ability to be anywhere near the first round. Bridgewater has the football IQ, mobility, and accuracy to dominate early. You lost me completely on those two things along. Bortles is a one read QB with an average arm.
