It's a great show but bad about skipping beats: Lester fends of Malvo and we see him next on a snow mobile, coming upon a police blockade; Molly goes to Lester's house but ends up at Malvo's hideout.
I didn't feel a payoff with Gus killing Malvo; it felt less like he was protecting his family and more about repairing his own shattered ego.

Can't believe the hype this board gave this show. It was a good show. But the best show of the year talk seems crazy to me.

I was wondering this too. They didn't show what happened, and when Lester opens the front door after Malvo clears out after getting out of the bear trap, the drive way looks empty of BOTH cars, the one belonging to the FBI agents presumably being taken by Malvo, but where was the other car and the car salesman?
[First post here, but I'd also say best new show this year; I also think Malvo is one of the best characters in a long time, played brilliantly by BBT]

I just finished the season. Not bad.
My only complaint is the characters do irrational things all the time. Why did Lester chase down Malvo in Vegas? What good did he possibly think could come of that?

What did he expect to get from Malvo in the elevator? What was his endgame? Seems like a bad plot device to get us back to Minnesota.

Finally watched season 1. Really liked it and it was a great blend of drama and dark humor.
