Ben needs surgery. At least that's what he said on the last broadcast.

Well considering Big Ben had some of the worst games of his career in Omaha, I'll go with Nola.

Ben was 0-4 in Omaha. Only pitcher to ever singlehandedly get his team eliminated...twice.

This one goes to Aaron by default

Nola is 0 for Omaha as well.

Give me Mike Sirotka.

Yeah. 0-1 with a 0.00 ERA.

Won't disagree with that choice.

Two CWS appearances.

0-4 record.

Do the math.

Nobody else has ever done that.

So he single handedly lost them?

When given the choice between a Nola and anyone else, always go with Nola.

Well, if you're going to split hairs and play semantics to make a point, no.

But I he was the losing pitcher in 4 games. And if you witnessed any of it, you'd know he didn't pitch any too well in those appearances. And he's still the only pitcher in CWS history to go 0-4 in two CWS appearances, no matter how much you may not like it.

Bats don't matter when hitters fail to make contact as much as they do against Nola. Ben had a tremendous amount of strikeouts as well. But a lot of threads on here cast a little "yeah but..." on Nola's accomplishments b/c of the weak bats. Dude racks up the K's.
