set off Saturday morning with three in the boat. Beautiful morning with light winds. Picked up 4 nice (2 1/2 - 3 lb) trout, a bunch of puppy drum and one keeper. The winds picked up later in the morning and we spent the rest of the time running around searching without much success. We weren't the only ones. Everyone else we talked to said it was pretty much hit and miss. I guess it hasn't turned on yet due to the weather.

Heard the rocks in Hopedale were kicking.

Same boat as you on Sunday in Dulac. Beautiful morning, calm winds, but started to pick up at 10 am. Windy Windy.

Was thinking of fishing again at Noon but weather and radar was looking very iffy. The tide/lunar conditions were very PERFECT for fishing. Didn't want risk a long run and wind to find the sweet spot. Plus it just started raining at 2 pm when I decided leave so it made my pain little better.

We went Saturday morning. Winds were bad is an understatement. We got a late start and didn't leave the launch till 7am. We ended up with 3 trout and 6 reds. We thought we did terrible till we heard how everyone else did we we got back.

My brother called and told me he fished Monday down there. Said he ended up with only 12 nice trout. Winds and slack tide was the killer.

Good luck with that. Did this two weeks ago in the yak and had to bust holes in the grass to even get the bait below the top of the water. Hopefully the grass starts clearing out in the ponds soon.
