So the year is already out to a great start if you ask me.

What are your favorites?

- Broken Bells - After the disco - this is just real chessey, and I really like it.
- Real Estate - atlas - While their sound really hasn't evolved, they do it quite well. This is definitely my favorite real estate album. I hope their live show has improved b.c I was really disappointed when I saw them in 2012.

I haven't checked out cloud nothing's new one yet, but have high hopes for it.

Others...
- Mac Demarco - This is growing on me after a few listens
- Mogwai - not as good as previous offerings but I do like it.
- Liars - Good enough for repeated listenings.
- Tycho - Awake
- Tobacco - Ultima 2 massage - I have only some of this but I really was digging on it. Album comes out in May.

The War on Drugs' Lost in Dream is head and shoulders my favorite so far. As I said in another thread the other day, it is my favorite album in at least two years (since Cloud Nothings' Attack on Memory).

Cloud Nothings- Hear and Nowhere Else is probably my second favorite of the year.

Some others I have enjoyed are:

Woods- With Light and Love
St. Vincent- St. Vincent
Future Islands- Singles
The Men- Tomorrow's Hits
The Hold Steady- Teeth Dreams
Avey Tare's Slasher Flicks- Enter the Slasher House
Wild Beasts- Present Tense

I've heard Tomorrow's Hits is excellent. I'm too hung up on WoD at the movement, but I'll check it out before jazzfest for sure.

The war on Drugs album is the best album this year. One of the better albums in a while actually. I doubt it gets topped either

I like that Future Islands album a lot too. Even more after watching them at Coachella.

what else came out this year....was Darkside this year? probably not. but if it did thats up there

That Temples album is pretty cool

thats all i got. indie music kinda sucks. no offense MB indie guys.

I need to steal/listen to these.

My indie cred is shot. I've been slacking the past year or two.

The real estate is really good. It's been getting a lot of play on Sirius.
