RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Senate majority leader Harry Reid hasn't been very vocal about the cattle battle showdown in recent days, but says "it's not over."
Reid tells News4's Samantha Boatman his take on the so-called cattle battle in southern Las Vegas. "Well, it's not over. We can't have an American people that violate the law and then just walk away from it. So it's not over," Reid said.
Senator Reid had just wrapped up a speech and question and answer session with students at UNR.

FIFY-
"Well, it's not over. We can't have any American people that violate the law and then just walk away from it (except myself and any elected Democrat) unless they have contributed to my campaign. So it's not over,"

You would think with the info about his ties to the BLM/Son/Solar/Memos purged/etc... That he would be laying low and avoiding this.
Stupid is as stupid does

I hope it's not over. I hope Reid is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Wouldn't mind Reid putting himself in the line of fire, fwiw.

I wonder how big the anti-blm response would be if they went at it again.

overlooked this thread.
Reid's son is gonna get his, he will make sure of that.

I can't believe Reid is stupid/arrogant enough to wade into this if there is indeed a solar connection.

I believe he will walk right into it. Because when its all said and done he knows the media and white house will make it all go away.

Just curious, but were any of yall in the thread a few weeks ago advocating pay increases for members of Congress? I remember some normally level headed posters advocating pay increases for these crooks. Stories like this are exactly why they don't need pay increases, these bastards already make enough money with these under the table deals, they don't need additional money from the public.

The feds have a real dilemma here.
If they come back with overwhelming force and try again, they'll potentially inflame the situation. The original dispute will become secondary to the conflict itself and how it's handled (for a lot of people that's already the case). More people may gather to support the rancher. Even if the feds win this round, it's just going to fuel the anti-fed sentiment already simmering in this country.
On the other hand, if they do nothing, it'll be seen as a chink in the feds armor and it will just embolden people to stand up to them next time they try something like this.
I think the feds are going to try to let the situation defuse and try again later with different tactics (e.g. arrest the rancher when he's alone and out and about). The ranchers best weapon is to continue to shine the light on Reid and his involvement.

Prosecuted on what charge?

quote:He's dirty as hell, but the most obvious charge would be insider trading . . . except for one small detail --- Congress has made insider trading legal for itself.

quote:Personally, I think that is what they want. I see this being bigger than the whole 'illegal cattle grazing' or solar shite. I'm thinking the government wants the militias to show up again for a rematch to further push the gun control agenda is a major way. Just my going out on a limb thoughts...
