Found this an interesting if unsurprising story regarding our fighting in Afghanistan and the fact that Pakistan was never really on our side.

Sure. This seems obvious but it clearly wasn't acted upon for a great deal of time(and really still isn't).

Are you really surprised? This is the same administration that didn't have a plan of what to do after the bullets stopped flying in Iraq. Which of course led to more bullets.

is the MSM always this far behind the Journal on things? or do they just need to wait for actual good, pioneering media outlets to show them the way?

LINK

seems to be a common thing on this board that links to CNN or yahoo or the like come days or weeks after the story first developed.

I guess I just don't really see what the big deal is a decade later.

Hell, we didn't have a game plan going in. We were pissed off and wanted someone to pay. The fact that we made poor choices then falls directly on the administration at the time. This was well known at the time and for years we have been hearing how the pakistanis were supporting the Taliban and others.

W was a frick up.

Fortunately we have the Obama administration's awesome grasp of diplomacy to bail us out.
