Does the 2:30 announcement for Bama/WVU ensure a night LSU/Wisc Game?

I was a little nervous we might get stuck with an afternoon game, since the matchup last year between MSU/OSU was an afternoon tilt. I will be there and would prefer a full day of tailgating activity. Any word on when we might find out?

I actually prefer afternoon games for away games. You can get a solid day of tailgating in then enjoy the town's nightlife.

You can forget a full day of tailgating at NRG Stadium (formerly Reliant Stadium), unless you happen to have an RV parking pass. With just a regular parking pass, gates won't open until 4-5 hours before kickoff.

Timing
All lots, other than the RV & Platinum lots, will open 4 hours prior to kickoff on August 30th. The Platinum Lot will open 5 hours before kickoff.

I suspect it will be the prime time game on ABC. Is there any other game on that day that is more intriguing than LSU vs Wisconsin? ESPN always tries to lock up a prime time spot for the best game of the day. If Bama vs WVU is on CBS which it sounds like it will be I bet we are prime time on ABC.

They'll probably sell beer in Houston, right? If so, I'd just get stick around one of Houston's better areas and get to the stadium an hour or less before kickoff.

Meh, that's what Friday night is for. I'm typically in no shape to go out after tailgating & a game anyway
ETA of course the lots at Reliant only open 4 hours before kickoff. Tailgating there is very restricted, think there was a shooting a few years back.

You also got Clemson-UGA and FSU-Okie State the same day...I would think we would be primetime on ESPN while FSU-Okie State will be ABC primetime
