What's your favorite national park or parks?

I'll be in Cali next week and plan on visiting sequoia. Kings canyon is a possibility. Anyone been to them?

Also might try to check out Death Valley West for a night

The ole favorite for many years, Yosemite. It's slowly losing it's luster though because of the crowds. Still amazing scenery though.

1) White Sands National Monument

2) Canyonlands

I love these because there're not overrun with tourists. Plenty of spots here where you won't run into a soul.

Glacier
Yellowstone (but hate the crowds)
Yosemite (but hate the crowds)
Rocky Mountain
North Cascades
Olympic
Lassen
Dry Tortugas
Capitol Reef
Arches
Canyonlands

Sequoia and Kings Canyon are nice and well worth a visit.

This is a good time of the year for Death Valley, if you do it then consider visiting Whitney Portal (trailhead for Mt. Whitney, up above the town of Lone Pine) and the Alabama Hills (on the road to Whitney Portal). Whitney Portal isn't far from the west side of Death Valley and has stunning scenery. More than 100 movies (mostly westerns) have been filmed in the Alabama hills with their rock formations.

Mt. Whitney and the Alabama Hills:

Southern Utah has my favorite national parks. I like Moab and Vernal as well.

Outside of Alaska, I think North Cascades is probably the most underrated.

Love MRNP.

Olympic NP would be a strong contender for best all around.

You've got to check out Yosemite if you've never been. Absolutely stunning. Grand Canyon NP really left me speechless too.

Big Bend is very underrated. One of the most isolated places in the southern 48. Very cool topography. Mountains, desert, just bring plenty of water.

I realize this is Canada, but Banff, Yoho, and Jasper parks are spectacular. Been to most parks in west and most are great, but they don't compare to the Canadian parks.

not a national park, but a really cool place to see if you're in the area.

Virtually every park out West blows anything in the East away.

While nice, only rednecks will say Great Smokey Mountains.

You will enjoy sequoia and kings canyon.
