They went to the Mississippi State game.

But really, noon start didn't help. Friday night though was baffling. Perfect weather; Nola on the mound.

Talked to one of the ushers, actual Friday was 7,100. Seems like if we're not #1or #2, people won't show? Nola had a great career high 13 k's Friday night. Don't see how people can say not exciting baseball.

It's a combination of two things. The average Joe finds the new style of play pretty boring, and the perception that we're having a down year.

Smalls is right.. it's just plain boring. It's like watching paint dry.

I've got SRO 15 game package and have been sitting in the half empty green or gold back seats in the grandstand every game. People prefer offense and today's baseball just doesn't produce.

How tough is it to get 5 seats together for a weekday game? My children want to go to The Box. We have never been to the new Box.

Also, game was on TV. Sure that didn't help.

The crowd on Friday night was a real puzzler. Nola will go down as one of the greatest pitchers to play at LSU. He's amazing and exciting; well worth the effort to get there on a Friday night.

Yesterday was a perfect day for baseball. I am sure that not all of the no-shows had kids playing soccer and/or baseball. Where were you, LSU "fans"?

Do you think it being French Quarter Fest could have something to do with the crowds this weekend?

There are only two more times LSU fans are guaranteed to see Nola at home. Tennessee and Bama.

And strawberry fest. Though I'm not sure that should take 3k out of the stands?

I've made it a point this year to not miss a Nola start if I can avoid it. I've never done that for a specific pitcher before. Every time he takes the hill you've got a good chance of seeing something special happen.
