Anyone read Levin's book? Any good?

I listen to the podcast of his radio show sometimes and he brings up the Chapter 4 of this book about the Constitution. Just curious how some of you guy's reviews.... you "statist" can keep it haha

Levin is more entertainment than anything. The shite he comes up with can be amusing. Although you can tell the guy is really bright more times than not he comes off as a blowhard

No reason he can't be both.

No doubt, he will spew off some intelligent stuff and follow it with "Senator FrankenFeinstien" or "Dunce Cap and Trade"... he has about a thousand little sayings, some you will chuckle at some you just shake your head and call him what he is, a blowhard

I don't listen to him but I look at who his supporters and fans are and I conclude that he's pretty much the same as Limbaugh or Hannity.

No, he's in a different league than both on intellect. But he will never have their audience. He's not the entertainer Rush is, and...well, I really don't understand why Hannity has an audience.

That said, Liberty & Tyranny is a solid book, imo. Don't dismiss him so quickly, G.

Because Levin has been so quick to embrace our kind.

I like you DaGarun. So this is what I did. I did a two-minute Google search on Mark Levin. I found that he supported Rick Santorum over Ron Paul in the 2012 Republican race.

I'll go back to dismissing him now.

I supported Ron Paul. Actually contributed to his campaign. I like Ron Paul. I like Mark Levin too.

I just don't see myself connecting philosophically with a Rick Santorum supporter. My mind can't make me see how it's possible.

I do like the fact that he is quick to call out RINOs or any republican that lacks balls

I'd highly doubt he is some big Rick supporter.... I wasn't listening to him back in 12' but I just doubt he is some mouth for Santorum. May have supported him over Ron, like I said I wasn't listening back then

G, do you podcast? Listen to one of his podcast, it's entertaining

In my former life, I used to be a neocon, big-government-supporting Republican who would listen to people like Limbaugh and Hannity. I just don't want to waste my time doing it much anymore.

Tom Woods has challenged Levin to a debate. If Levin ever agrees, then I'll listen to what he has to say in the debate.

I don't understand why Rush and some of the others, on both sides (Maher), aren't just looked at by EVERYONE for what they are...

Entertainers who are ratings whores. Every network will do anything for ratings. Ratings=MONEY!

Really!?! This is like Dr. Seuss green eggs and ham level education.

Colbert is just as guilty. When you take sides, you get called out for it...sometimes.

What if there were no FOX News? What if nobody EVER spoke opposition to power? When the shoe is on the other foot, watch the liberal media go into investigative overdrive.

Just imagine if Bush had even come CLOSE to doing the things that this prick administration has done without being seriously questioned.

Inept righteousness is the most dangerous kind of ignorance.

Levin is the most informative of the talk radio guys. He knows his stuff and has real experience (worked in the Reagan Justice Dept). He's also passionate about what he says and doesn't hesitate to communicate his dislike and disgust with politicians - of both parties.

His solution to the current mess with the Federal Gov is to have the States completely bypass the Federal Government by amending the Constitution with such things as term limits and ... well, read his latest book. And I agree - the Founders added that procedure to the Constitution for a good, almost prophetic reason - allows the States to reign in an out of control Federal Gov. I don't know why more people aren't calling for this since its right there in the Constitution. Most people don't even know the States can do this. (And its NOT a constitutional convention as I've heard some people say to dismiss the idea - it only amends the Constitution).

He also suggests repealing the 17th amendment. I agree. The people have the House. The States are supposed to have representation (the Senate).
