Should I get the buffalo ribeye, bone in prime ribeye, or sesame crusted ahi tuna?

Also, the bar side has a separate menu if you aren't wanting a huge meal, but you have to ask for it. Their sliders are pretty darn good if they have them.

at the user name.

I ended up getting the prime bone in ribeye, with the lollichops as an appetizer. Had creamed spinach, loaded mashed potatoes, and the crawfish mac n cheese for sides.

Overall it was just an okay meal. When my wife and I were sat, it was in an empty room just on the other side of the bar. Not long after, another table was sat next to us with a woman wearing one of these:

Really, the amount of baseball hats being worn by 50 year old + people in the restaurant was disturbing.

Apparently this woman eats their often because a handful of servers came by her table and had long, loud conversations about what was going in their lives. I learned about the debauchery that took place at a bachelor party this past weekend in Austin among other things.

Our server was very attentive and did a great job IMO. He didn't rush us, he kept our glasses filled, and did not disturb our conversation once.

I was impressed with the wine and bourbon list, though I wish they had more wines by the glass (My wife is pregnant so I wasn't going to buy a bottle for myself). I had an Eagle Rare 17 with the appetizer and I can't recall the name of the pinot noir I had with the steak.

The Lamb lollipops were served with a grecian sauce and were pretty good, but not as good as lsulaker makes his. The steak was okay, but not great by any means. I ordered it med rare with the herb butter on the side. The crawfish mac and cheese was the best side we had and it was delicious. I'm sure they used frozen crawfish, but they tasted very fresh. The loaded mashed potatoes were a very close second. They have small (about a quarter inch cubed) pieces of a heavily smoked bacon in them that really made them great. The creamed spinach wasn't very good. It tasted like they used too much garlic and no shallots. The spinach was only wilted and not cooked, and the cream was very runny. Also, no nutmeg, which is a flavor that I strongly associate with creamed spinach.

Overall, i give it a 6/10. It was about on par with what I think of resort fine dining to be. I was telling lsulaker that the meal I had at Pamplona's in Lafayette Tuesday night was 10x better than this one and cost less than half.

Your dining experience there was the norm. Im LC on business a good bit, have removed them from my dinner rotation, which now consists of Mazens, Le Truffle, & 121.

Solid rotation. These are our normal fine dining go to restaurants, but we had never had Ember so we gave it a shot.

I work at St Pat's hospital every so often and always wondered about this place. Usually I'm done around lunch time, but occasionally for dinner too. I'll need to check it out.

It used to be a D'Angelo's Casual Italian. They've done very well for themselves since they went independent.

I refuse to eat at any of the steak places or so called high end casino restaurants. Usually average food with extreme prices.
