Agreed. Not for superstitious reasons, rather, because they look stupid. The purple pants are actually a pretty good look IMHO.

I know the traditionalist will uproar over any change to the uni's. But, it would be nice to see us make one or two changes every now and then. We've never made any extreme changes that look foolish [ex. Georgia's uniforms vs Boise St.]

You are incorrect considering you can quickly "Google" gold and find an example the same shade LSU wears.
The gold you are referring to is elemental or metallic gold.

I love the alternate unis we could use (and agree that we don't want to veer too far from our traditional look, but just jazz things up a bit).
But, damn, when are we going to match the shade of purple on the helmet and our jerseys/shoulder stripes? It's been so obvious to me for years and years. Can we not just get the colors right?

The best alternate unis were the Katrina Game vs. Tulane from 2007 (white helmet, purple jersey, white pants) or Nike Pro Combats from the game vs. Auburn in 2011 (all white).
