Saw that it's this weekend. I've never been.

What is the crowd like. Is it a decent environment for kids?

Dr. John is playing, so the wife and I want to hit that up. And it's for free, so that's a plus.

Any and all information is good info. TIA.

Is that an assumption, or from experience? Because I was sort of thinking about that possibly being the case.

I went last year and had a great time. No issues with riff-raff. Unless you are one of those people who is ready to call the national guard whenever there is significant number of black people in one place.

I went last year. Its pretty good. The crowd was actually really " familyish". In other words, a lot of people there chasing their kids and not listening to the music. There were a handful of food vendors and some overpriced domestic beer. I would bring your own cooler. Overall , if the weather is good, I give it an A for Baton Rouge. I plan on going again.

That's a deal breaker for me. I'll stay in the 70115 where it's safe.

Wait for it, wait for it, the Baton rouge bashing should start any minute. This is Another positive thing for downtown baton rouge, weather should be good, bike cops etc that work the down town scene do a good job keeping the riff raff in check for the most part. go have a good time

That's good to hear. We're gonna bring the kids for a little bit, then have my mother-in-law bring them home when they're tired.

Any other acts y'all know about. I've heard some about this Brother Dege guy.

You just described 50% of this board.
It seems like a nice event and I'm happy Baton Rouge is doing something like this to show case local and regional music.

Went last year to watch Rob Randolph. A lot of inconsiderate broke dick overweight african americans lounging in chairs taking up all the room and not giving a frick.
