I tried a home remedy to cure a sore throat yesterday. Lea& Perrins with lime juice amazingly cured my sore throat. I didn't think I had any Lea & Perrins, since I rarely use it. So I picked some up at Rouse's on my way home. When I got home, I found some in the back of the condiments on the door. This is the best used by date:

Every now and then I go through my condiments and toss out stuff that is over a year past the best by date.

I don't think it's in my fridge. But I think I have a box of noodles in my pantry that's best by 2008. I'll have to check when I get home

First thing I bought when I moved in was the baking soda that's still at the back. Only been a couple years though.

I probably have pickles and mustard that are five years old or more.

Lemon juice probably. I use to put it in my hair before summer started to make it dirty blonde for the beach and pool parties

Honey. It lasts forever. Archeologists have found jars of honey that are 1,000 years old. Under the microscope they show no sign of bacteria.

I keep it in the fridge because I have more shelf space there than in my spice cabinet.

Easy. Box Macaroni Exp. 2008. It's a shame to throw it out. We've been through so much together.
