Looking for offshore OT ballers to fill me in. Got offered offshore job which will double my current salary. Is offshore worth it? Is it a good life/work balance? Single and freshly out of college.

Yes. The weeks you have off are awesome.

OP,

If you are young and single, do it. You will bust your arse but you will also make fast cash. Get in, work hard, and invest wisely so when you stop the offshore life, you still have your offshore money.

I wouldn't do it with a wife and kids but it's great for a single man.....we'll take care of your wife while you're gone if married

i work in production 7 & 7 and have it pretty good.. big place, own room, decent gym, galley crew who cooks, cleans and washes clothes.
80k per year with half the year off and 2 weeks of paid vacation which you can sell or take. i personally take them both so i have two 21 day breaks per year

Im starting an offshore job in a few weeks. I'm also married with a kid due in August. The timing sucks, but I have to give it a shot. Not happy at all at my current job.
