It's for the Smithsonian Photography Contest. The pic is from Burning Man, basically a mini movie theater he constructed and placed out in the middle of nowhere.
To be honest, Burning Man really is a bunch of naked hippies in the desert, but I've also seen some pretty breathtaking art objects out there as well. I think there are two other pictures from Burning Man that also made the cut.
The picture is in the "Americana" category, #7 - "The Bijou"
