I left my kids booksack in the back of my damn car this morning.

If anyone is walking through short term parking and feels like snagging it and dropping it off for me that would be grand. Case of beer on me.

Figure this place was my best chance.

If this had been posted at 530, I could have helped. Good luck.

On the off chance my flight into BTR tonight gets delayed, I'll be going into MSY. Will keep this thread in mind.

Thanks Golfer. Picked kid up from school yesterday and threw it into back seat since I only snagged him and not his sibling. Too damn dark when I left this morning to see it.

Guido yes it is unlocked.

ETA- if anyone wanted it they could have it because this is the car I only use to drive to and from the airport. I promise no one wants it.

That's prolly not the best policy.

I'd help if I could, man, but I'm in BR.

I'll be making the trip again tomorrow morning if you haven't figured something else out by then.

Wow I read this too fast.. I thought you were asking for help because you left your kids in the back of your car.

Now that would have been some shite there. I probably would have gone back to the car and skipped the flight for that one; however it would have depended on how he had been acting.

It's a trap! Cameras everywhere and fingerprints putting someone at the scene of a crime. Don't do it.

Thanks Nado. I will actually be back Friday evening. Just a quick trip to LA and back. I am sure school will love this excuse. I guess it is better than the dog are my damn homework.

K problem solved the wife will go get it. I have heard her be happier before than having to drive to MSY just to get a booksack. Thanks Box, Golfer, and Nado for the efforts.

Can I get a clarification? This car's sole purpose is to go to and from the airport?

Yeah. It is older and gets good gas mileage. I would sell it or trade it in but only get a few hundred buck. Use my wife's car or my other one. Why bring a nice car to the airport every week to have it exposed to being dinged up?

I do occasionally use it in town to run an errand or two depending on the weather- ie yesterday when there was hail in Ascension Parish- hence why I never even thought about it in the backseat.

I have an old truck that I used for this purpose. Why would I leave a brand new truck at the airport?

Sometimes you end up with a vehichle that is still usuable but you wouldn't get the trade in or sale to justify selling it.

Exactly. I mean insurance is 45 a month. When I travel from Ascension to MSY one round trip a week I figure I get $28 of it back on fuel savings. Therefore $17 a month to not have a vehicle get dings is a good value proposition to me. This is the OT after all.
