This isn't a knock on PS4, Sony, ND, or TLoU, but whoever pays $60 to play a game they just played a few months ago just because it's on a newer system is just flat out dumb IMO.
ETA: I could understand if it were a multiplayer game.

Fair enough, but if you love the game playing it with upgraded graphics is a no brainer.
GTAV is rumored to be coming to next gen and PC in June, and Tomb Raider has already done this remastered thing and it was fairly successful as well so why not do it? Especially with a large amount of new PlayStation owners that didn't play it on PS3 but got or will be getting a PS4.

True, about the only way it does. Would be one thing if it was a game like RDR that is a few years old and could be made overall better on a new system or something. But if I had played it on PS3, I definitely wouldn't drop 60 to play it on PS4.

People buy that for the Multiplayer though which makes sense because you will get more play time out of it vs a campaign game.

That's cool and like I said I'm not knocking ND or Sony for doing it because if people are stupid enough to pay for it again then it's smart on their part.
I am strictly talking about the people that will pay for the game again that they played and beat just a few months ago. It's not like this is an old game being redone.
Even when the original Halo was redone a year or two ago it was only $35 and that at least was multiplayer. .

For sure, I'd imagine a large part of them doing this is for the hardcore fans of the game, and the new adopters to the PS4 that had a 360 and never played it.
I myself will just Gamefly or RedBox it and mainly just for the free DLC included I never got to play.
I imagine this doesn't cost much at all to remake either, being profitable even with just decent sales.

Yeah this is perfect for someone like me who had their PS3 die on them and will get eventually get around to picking up a PS4.
And holy shite they give out too many game of the year awards considering Bioshock and GTA5 probably picked up some of those as well

I might gamefly it to see the graphical differences. Multiplayer was also fun for a while when I had some TD peeps to play with.

That didn't stop anyone from going nuts when Titanfall received numerous E3 awards from these same sites, and that was before the game was out. I'm sure one if not more of those posters are in this thread.
Using GOTY awards to definitively say a game is the best that year is dumb, but to say it means nothing to win a large majority of GOTY awards is a little ignorant.
