I have a few cases from pistols I have acquired and lost in boating accidents. What does my fellow OBers do with theirs? Keep them? Throw them?

This.

When is Kip Holden gonna have a gun lock buy-back? I'll be able to retire off what I could make from one of those deals.

Going to check the few boxes that I've kept. Most get left at the camp and later burned.

I can almost guarantee there is no serial number on my Kimber box.

Unless you peeled it off the numbers are there

There are federal regulations for that stuff and they come from the factory like that

I'm appalled by how many "responsible" gun owners do not utilize the locks. They are there for a reason. The law was passed to save lives.... lives aren't being saved if they aren't being used.

Does anyone have any good uses for all these locks I have but don't use?

I keep them all. Serial number, owner's manual, etc. in case I ever need them.

There are a select few plastic cases that come in a cardboard box. My Beretta 90 Two was this way. It didn't have a serial number on the plastic box but had it on the cardboard. Nothing a sharpie couldn't fix though...
