Anyone have any experience fixing a stand bag? Specifically Ping Hoofer model?

Everything is in place except it's missing left leg and the pin to connect the leg.

Called Ping and they said they could order parts through suppliers (Edwin Watts, Dicks). But called dicks and EW and they seem to not have experience doing that kind of stuff.

EW said to bring the bag in to see what they can do, but has anyone personally done it with an old bag leg or anything? Don't want to buy an newer bag if I can help it.

What was the shot that caused you to hit the leg of the stand?

Once they're broke, you really can't fix. If you insist on a stand alone bag, get a new one.

Some pictures would probably help. I'm sure there's some way you could rig it to still work.

If you take off the right leg it should match exactly

It was back in Highschool 7-8ish years ago. 6 iron from 190 pulled left and wind took it about 20 yards more off target into the hazard. I didn't meant to hit the bag, but the club skipped off dew covered grass and hit the leg of the bag. Bent the leg and bent the iron.

Ill post a pic if EW doesn't fix it or have a solution. If I could get a leg maybe I can find a screw/pin to keep it on. Who knows.

I would love to buy a new bag, but my wife doesnt like the idea. "I buy enough new golf stuff." The $450 range finder did it for me.

No no, I got the Bushnell V3, which was like $250 when I got it, that's just what my wife says. "You don't need any more golf things, you just bought a $450 range finder."

Usually when you fix them something else breaks. I've had two Hoofer bags (on my third) and when I've fixed whatever was broken something else went.

Had an Ogio where one of the plastic pieces that held one of the legs to the kick mechanism broke. I fixed it with a zip tie. Worked like a charm. Still though, I gave the bag to my son an bought a new one. It's the principle of the thing...l mean, drivers with sky marks don't go as far either right?

Buy a hybrid bag next. Pops up like a stand, but sits on a cart much better.

The new higher end stand bags are essentially hybrids of prior years. Like the four 5 by Sun Mountain. With the cart friendly bottoms you don't need a true hybrid unless you just want the size/look.

It was well struck, Golfer.

I even yelled "Nitro" after it was hit.

I got the Ogio Recoil (LINK ) for $170 last year on Amazon.

I love it. Perfect hybrid stand bag. Fits on a cart perfectly. Zipperless ball pocket. And it's extremely comfortable to carry (a little big if you walk all the time).
