Which alter ego and musical incarnation of Bowie is your favorite?

A. Major Tom - Late 60s, early 70s
B. Ziggy Stardust - Early 70s
C. Aladdin Sane - Mid 70s
D. The Thin White Duke - Mid to late 70s
E. Pop Bowie - 80s

I'd have to say Thin White Duke was my favorite. Station to Station and Low are such musical masterpiece albums.

It used to be Ziggy Stardust era but in the last few years I think I like the living in Berlin hanging out with Brian Eno era David Bowie (Low/Heroes/Lodger) more, right after Thin White Duke/mountains of cocaine/going completely insane era David Bowie (Young Americans/Station to Station)

I think all eras of Bowie are awesome.

When I try to toss up which one, I just can't.

Young Americans is a jam and a half

There's a flight of the conchords episode that deals with this subject

Lotus played a new years show dressed as the different bowies. They opened with the song David Bowie, and then played Bowie covers all night.

Whats up dawg

Where have you been? The random references to late 50s and early 60s pop culture have been greatly missed
