Why do they begin television coverage so late when the tee times begin a 8am or so?

They don't. "Live From the Masters" starts at 7:00 a.m. on the Golf Channel.

The TV coverage is a crock of shite! It is the superbowl of golf! I could lay on my couch and watch it from daylight to dark everyday, give the people what they want

UVerse has a set of Masters Channels that will show specific holes all day long. There's one for Amen corner, I think one for 17-18, and a couple others. I was scrolling through my channel guide last night and saw they had been added.

Do you even Masters.com, bro?

The app gives you Amen corner, 15&16, a Featured group in the morning and afternoon (which switches to three groups on the weekend) and the CBS feed. It is the best broadcasted sporting event in the world.
