Any of you ballers hire people to help around the house and with the kids? What's been your experience with that if so?

I'm about to have a basketball team of kids, and though my wife stays home with them, I was thinking of hiring a part-time nanny to come in and watch the kids for a couple of hours, wash clothes, etc once or twice a week.

Is a "part-time nanny" even a thing?
Do regular house cleaners wash clothes?

This. There's a reason I let my wife quit her job and stay home when we had kids. It was to do shite around the house and raise our kids

By the time the first kid hits 5 or 6 his/her little arse better be helping out with stuff too.

How old are your kids? My oldest will be 7 when the new one comes.

Either way, she's not asking for help and she's not lazy.

We always had one lady watching us and another one doing chores like dishes, mopping, clothes, etc. Single-parent household though

Eta: The lady who did the chores came every day around 6pm, right before my mom got home. The nanny was there from when we got off of school until an hour after my mom got back

11, twin 6 year olds and a 3 year old.

My husband worked offshore when the twins were babies and I managed everything on my own. I never did understand the need for help when one parent stays home.

We both work and only have one little girl (15 months). We do have someone come clean the house every other week, best $90 spent. Also have someone cut the grass $30 a week....I love working in the yard, but I'd rather spend the time with my daughter.

im guessing that the plethora of Jodys helped with some of the daily chores as well.

Molly Maids is about this much. You can tell them what to clean and yes, they speak english. Broken, but they speak it.

3300 sq ft house, with lots of tile....they clean everything, mop floors, vaccuum bedrooms, change sheets on our bed. Best money spent. The head lady speaks english, this is in Katy.

Be careful. When I was almost 12 my grandmother hired this woman to be our live in maid. I think folks here remember me discussing what came next.

We have a nanny that comes to the house from 10-4, 4 days a week

We pay her $600/month

She mostly just watches out daughter, but she also does our laundry and cleans on occasion when she gets bored.
