To be able to move up in the draft because they covet someone?

I would post who I think that may be, but everybody already knows who.

I wouldn't imagine so. Draft picks will be valuable to the organization in the next few drafts. Plus the organization is still feeling the effects of losing back to back 2nd rounders from the bounty sanctions.

I think at least ONE of those slips to 12-15 range.

I suspect that's a typo and meant to read "it". If that's the case, I totally agree. I also agree with another poster who said the team will hold on to their draft picks because we need some cheap labor going forward.

I agree that the smart move in this draft is to stay put or trade back and acquire more picks.

The OP posed the question of maybe moving up. IF the Saints did I would hope it would be around that 15th pick range to get one of the prospects I listed.

Am I missing something? Doesn't a player have to be under contract to get traded?

We're more likely to trade back.

he is property of the Saints via franchise tag. While he hasn't signed the contract and does not have to (of which he will not play this season and next year the franchise tag will still hold... I think), he is still our property and could be traded. With that said...

I certainly hope so!!! Jimmay is a pussy, disappears in big games, gets shut down by elite defenders, sits on the bench with a hang nail, hates kids with cancer, rapes kittens and once punched Ghandi in the nuts.

Especially because pick 6 and 7 are both NFC South Teams

If the Saints don't come to a long term deal by draft day, can some team pick up JG during the draft during their pick (giving the Saints 15 minutes to make a decision)? Or does it not work like that?
