Listening to this guy on Angela......The tin foil hat is heavy on this guy. I remember him having some good sound bytes during Katrina, now the guy sounds like a complete buffoon.

So he could run all profitable industries out of Louisiana? Sure he would be a raging success....I'm fine with holding companies accountable, but he comes off as a complete moron. He complained that companies are holding gas in salt caverns which they aren't taxed on......the moron conveniently leaves out that taxes are paid on the gas when it's sold.

i tend to believe when it comes to natural rescources in louisiana we need to quit giving away tax breaks. they need the rescources and we need the jobs so we sholdn't have to pay them to come frick up our enviroment.

Please explain.....also let me know what tax breaks oil and gas companies get that any other manufacturer doesn't.

Tax breaks: Government taking less of what an individual or entity has earned.

So are you against actual outright subsidies, such as those to movie companies and solar panel companies in LA? I ask because these aren't merely government taking less, but rather, actively giving away public dollars to prop up a product or industry.

i think its about time a public figure stood up for our enviroment in louisiana. i know there are alot of crazies aligned with being green but as an avid hunter and fisher i am turning into an enviromentalist. we have let oil and gas and other manufacturing companys destroy our enviroment here in louisiana for way to long.

I guess you could say that, more pissed that it's a frivolous lawsuit, and even if dollar one is generated it will be gobbled up by the ambulance chasers who are moving forward with the suit. Is he speaking out against the Federal Government who's levees share just as much, if not more blame than the canals that were dug by the oil and gas companies?

The energy industry, and its workers, have also done more for Louisiana's environment than any other groups of people.

Look at the involved members of CCA and DU. Look at who sponsors their events. Look who donates money and materials to build reefs along our coast.

half my family is employed by oil and gas industry so i am not against them and i know they give back to the CCA and other programs but i also know that is a drop in the bucket of the profit the take from this state and the damage they do is far greater. there is a way for us to get the best of both worlds out of the rescources of this state.

It certainly behooves them to invest in protecting their infrastructure and resources.
